Mandates carried out by Serge Pisapia, since 2001, first as a senior consultant with Both Belle Robb Limited, then as an independent expert consultant, are divided between dispute resolution and consulting and expertise.

Appointed as chair of the Standby Committee established by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and the consortium Signature on the Saint-Laurent Group G.P. for the New Bridge of the St. Lawrence Corridor Project.

INTERVENANT-EXPERT

Part of the repertoire of fourteen (14) expert speakers throughout Quebec accredited by the Quebec Institute of Mediation and Arbitration (IMAQ) to intervene on the pilot projects of public construction contracts chosen within the framework of Ministerial Order (AM) No. 2018-01 of the President of the Conseil du trésor dated July 3, 2018.

PARTNERING

Member of a team of three facilitators engaged in the partnering process implemented on one of the phases of the restoration of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa.

PROJECT MEDIATOR

In 2012 and 2015, on two similar residential building projects (13-15M$) in Montreal, performed by two different general contractors under lumpsum contracts with two different housing cooperatives financed by both municipal and provincial governments.

2020 McGowan Excellence Award Winner

The ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) announces that Serge Pisapia has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the National Lionel J. McGowan Award. This Award recognizes those who have made an outstanding contribution to the development and success of ADR and/or ADRIC on a national level, and have contributed significantly to the promotion and development of alternative dispute resolution across Canada.

ADR training for engineers

On May 6 at the IMAQ’s 2019 annual convention of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) in Montreal, Mrs. Rosanna Eugeni and Serge Pisapia gave the engineers a 3-hour course entitled “ADR as a tool for project management”.

Ambassadors who have marked the history of participatory justice

Mr. Pisapia appears is amongst the « ambassadors who have marked the history of participatory justice » referred to in the tribute included in the preface of the new book by Professor Jean-François Roberge entitled La justice participative – Fondements et cadre juridique.
